MEET OUR TEAM

Andrew F.

Bass, Guitar, Music Theory, Songwriting, Digital Audio Production, Jazz Theory, Sight Singing - BILINGUAL SPANISH SPEAKER, Fluent proficiency.

Hello everyone! My name is Andrew, and I have been a full-time performing/touring/recording artist for the last 15 years in styles such as Jazz, Funk, Folk, Rock, Country, Hip Hop, Salsa, and Electronica. I feel lucky that my adventures as professional sideman have included touring extensively in the USA, Canada, South America, Europe, and Australia. I’ve gotten to play at historic venues and festivals, such as the Monterey Jazz Festival, Edinburgh Jazz & Blues, and the North sea Jazz Festival. I’ve also been fortunate to play on records that have been in the Billboard Top 40 charts for Jazz, Americana/Folk, and Country - even on the #1 Record The Hamilton Mixtape. I graduated Macalester College with a B.A. cum laude in Music and Spanish literature, but nothing has taught me as much about music as playing 250-300 gigs a year for over 10 years straight. I love teaching because I've had a lot of great ones share their musical approaches with me, and I know how inspiring it can be to develop your unique relationship to music with the guidance of someone who’s been doing it for a while. Want to learn how to groove harder, improvise, understand pop/Jazz/Blues harmony, develop your own songwriting, or record your own beats/tracks/songs? Let’s do it! The best part to me is that there are no wrong answers in music, just an endless amount of ways to explore it - so let’s find what makes you inspired about it all, and go there together!

Carley D.

Voice, Opera voice, Musical Theatre, Pop Voice, Jazz Voice, Acting, Song Writing, Guitar, Ukulele

Hi everyone! My name is Carley and I am a singer, artist, actress, teacher, and plant lover! I fell in love with music at age 10; it has been a huge part of my life since then. I enjoy sharing my passion for music with others through teaching and performing. I have a k-12 music degree and a k-12 art certification; I currently teach in the public school system. I earned a Bachelor's degree in vocal music education and a Masters in vocal music performance. For the past 6 years, I have been teaching private music lessons online and in person. I have experience teaching all ages: toddlers to retirees! My favorite part of teaching is seeing my students grow as musicians and as people, so I am intentional about making my lessons a safe space for creativity and exploration while also meeting our educational goals. Sharing your voice or your musical talent is a very personal and brave thing to do; that fact is not lost on me! I will do everything I can to make you comfortable and uplifted as we learn together. I am excited to meet you and go on this journey with you!

Marc M.

Hi!  I’m Marc!  For the passed 20 plus years I’ve been teaching music in a myriad of settings. I have taught High School music programs, Middle School classes, and Private Lessons. I have taught bands, ensembles, group lessons, one-on-one lessons and virtual lessons. With these teaching positions I go above and beyond, I have written my own music, written my own scores, teaching material, designed curriculum and authored several different instrumental method books.  As a long time musician and music educator, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a depth of experience to serve my students.

Thanks to Superba Vox I welcome you to explore the many worlds of music with me! Choose your adventure, and we will journey into any of the musical universes you wish.  We can trek into classical music, or to the mysteries of improvisation.  We take a trip through jazz & blues, or even into the realm of rock music.  We can tour contemporary songs, or anywhere else on the map.  I hope to adventure with you soon!

Hello all! My name is Yi, and I’m a singer/songwriter, stage performer, studio musician, and music Instructor. What makes me unique, is how my personal career took off while attending the Central Conservatory of Music in my hometown Beijing, where I was lucky enough to become discovered by a famous music producer. I had the privilege, and worked with top level professionals that the music industry has to offer! Because of that, I was lucky enough to experience the full scope of being a touring Headliner, where I gained much invaluable experience that comes with working at that highest of levels. From there, I went on to attend McNally Smith College of Music, located in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. where I received my Master’s degree in Music Performance - Vocals.

Throughout that time, I’ve been taught by industry leading professionals for 12+ years, and have been instructing for 7+ years. I’ve taught every style from pop, to rock, jazz, R’n B, and musical theater.  One constant thing that remains a great passion of mine, is in sharing all of my unique, well developed, knowledge and experience. I use this to create your very own personalized lesson plan, in order to help you achieve your musical aspirations regardless of your current leve, and transform you into the musician you can become!

David G.

Folk and Blues Guitar, Songwriting, Garageband and Sibelius software, Rock and Jazz band direction

Hi everyone my name is David.  I have been teaching music in the NYC Metro area for 40 years.  I am a jazz pianist, blues and folk guitarist, vocalist and songwriter.  I started with the drums and guitar and in high school added the piano and organ. During the late 60's, I played the drums and keyboards, as well as vocals, with the pop group: The Blades of Grass. We had a Top 40 Hit: Happy, and the title song from the film: I Love You, Alice B. Toklas.  I toured with Neil Diamond, The Doors, The Dave Clark Five, Van Morrison and the Fifth Dimension. I have a Masters Degree in Music Education from NYU, post-graduate work from Teachers College-Columbia University, Orff Certification and the Dalcroze Elementary Certificate.   During the month of July for the past 27 years I compose musical theater songs for children at the Lucy Moses School Musical Theater Workshop in New York City. If you want to learn to play jazz piano, play your favorite songs on a keyboard, improve your guitar playing skills or learn how to compose songs, I am here for you.  I can also teach you Sibelius notation software and help you create your own recordings using Garageband.  My goal as a music teacher is to help you succeed with your music.  I will work with you to improve your playing skills, increase your knowledge of music theory, help you compose and perform your own songs, and give you the confidence to show the world who you are as a talented musician.

Brennan B.

Voice, Vocal Pedagogy, Sight Singing, Ear Training, Music Theory, Music Technology, Vocal Placement, Performance, Language | Diction, Vvocal Health

Hey! I’m Brennan. If you’re looking to expand your vocal versatility through a variety of genres, I’d be thrilled to guide you on that journey. With a diverse vocal experience myself, I’m committed to helping singers of all levels unlock their potential in a wide range of music genres. I earned a degree in Music Education with a Voice Concentration from Grove City College, where I specialized in vocal performance, vocal health and pedagogy, but my personal vocal journey began much earlier–at a young age, I used my singing abilities not just as a hobby, but as a side hustle that helped me through my teenage, college, and young adult years. That’s why I believe strongly that more performance and job opportunities are open to musicians who can sing a diverse range of styles–I’ve done it! Outside of academia, I am a seasoned performer, as singer-songwriter lead vocalist and guitarist to the indie rock band A Day Awaits as well as professional worship leader at home, and a touring worship leader for the Born to Be Brave conference. My firsthand experience allows me to offer valuable insights into the intricacies of stage presence and musical expression. Additionally in the worship music realm, I am Music and Creative Director for a multi-site church, overseeing multiple teams of adult vocalists and musicians across six different campuses, and coaching them to create communal music experiences of quality and excellence. Whether you're passionate about pop/rock, musical theater, classical, or worship music, I’ve got you covered–join me on this exciting journey, and let's make beautiful music together!
