Amy N.

Double Bass, Violin, Music Notation.

Since I was six years old, I’ve dreamed of achieving my goal of becoming a professional musician. As a music educator I love to help building the youth in an inclusive musical community. I want to give equal opportunity and development to all students, mostly those with fewest resources.
Music education is very important to me, especially for those in their youth. I began playing the violin at age six in the public school programs. Six years later I started the double bass and I’ve loved it ever since. In recent years, I have participated in several festivals and orchestras such as the The Cincinnati Symphony, The Chautauqua Symphony, The South Florida Symphony, The Orchestra NOW, Oslo Kammerakademi, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, and among various others. I received my Bachelor of Music Degree at Lynn Conservatory in 2017, and my Master of Music Degree at Yale University in 2019. I’ve recently received an Artist Diploma as a Diversity Fellow at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.

Hi all! My name is Ally and I am a singer/songwriter currently living in Nashville, Tennessee. Before moving to music city, I studied Voice and Theatre at Oklahoma City University where I graduated with my Bachelor's of Music in the spring of 2020. Though I am extremely passionate about maintaining a healthy instrument and building a firm foundation as a musician, I believe the most important part of music is using it to tell a story. It is my hope that my students will find joy in their music and passion for what they are creating whether it be portraying a character's story or writing their very own. As your teacher, I would ensure that you feel safe to try new things and make your individual mark on the performance industry. Different is good! I’m a singer, pianist, and songwriter in Memphis, Tennessee. I carry a diverse musical background into the teaching studio spanning from commercial music to jazz, classical, and musical theatre. As a Music Industry degree holder from Middle Tennessee State and teacher for over ten years, I still take so much joy and humility in continuing to learn with my students. I embrace classical techniques and believe they’re beneficial to all musicians, and I love to empower students by unraveling technical concepts and making them accessible and easy to understand. I approach teaching holistically, simply, and authentically. I believe great musicianship isn’t just making great sounds, but is ultimately connecting with your whole self as an artist and communicator. Whether you’re a beginning piano student, experienced voice student, or a songwriter craving to express your ideas skillfully and honestly, I can’t wait to join you in your musical journey and awaken the artist within you!

Alexandria M.

Hi! My name is Alexandria and I am a classical soprano, but I also love singing musical theater! I graduated from the Eastman School of Music with my Master’s of Music in Vocal Performance and Literature and I received my Bachelor of Arts from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina.

I began my musical journey when I just 3 years old when I learned to play the violin. When I was in middle school, I began singing with the Lenoir-Rhyne youth chorus. This led to me being able to travel all over the world as a performer. Some of the places I have been so far are Ireland, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Hawaii.

As a teacher, I like to have a student led approach and I believe that it is super important to study what you love! I can’t wait to help you set goals for yourself and to help you achieve your dreams. I am super excited to work with you all!

Mary O.

I believe that singing is one of the most powerful ways you can express yourself and I want to help you find your voice. If you are someone who already sings and wants to explore a new style or are brand new to singing, I will work with you to come up with a game plan that excites and motivates you to become the singer you would like to be! I also provide audition prep for acting and singing, which goes beyond performance technique and gets into the business side of building your brand and marketing yourself as a performer. Together we will develop and foster the skills and habits you need to be a successful artist!
