Andrew F.

Bass, Guitar, Music Theory, Songwriting, Digital Audio Production, Jazz Theory, Sight Singing - BILINGUAL SPANISH SPEAKER, Fluent proficiency.

Hello everyone! My name is Andrew, and I have been a full-time performing/touring/recording artist for the last 15 years in styles such as Jazz, Funk, Folk, Rock, Country, Hip Hop, Salsa, and Electronica. I feel lucky that my adventures as professional sideman have included touring extensively in the USA, Canada, South America, Europe, and Australia. I’ve gotten to play at historic venues and festivals, such as the Monterey Jazz Festival, Edinburgh Jazz & Blues, and the North sea Jazz Festival. I’ve also been fortunate to play on records that have been in the Billboard Top 40 charts for Jazz, Americana/Folk, and Country - even on the #1 Record The Hamilton Mixtape. I graduated Macalester College with a B.A. cum laude in Music and Spanish literature, but nothing has taught me as much about music as playing 250-300 gigs a year for over 10 years straight. I love teaching because I've had a lot of great ones share their musical approaches with me, and I know how inspiring it can be to develop your unique relationship to music with the guidance of someone who’s been doing it for a while. Want to learn how to groove harder, improvise, understand pop/Jazz/Blues harmony, develop your own songwriting, or record your own beats/tracks/songs? Let’s do it! The best part to me is that there are no wrong answers in music, just an endless amount of ways to explore it - so let’s find what makes you inspired about it all, and go there together!

I earned a Bachelor's degree in vocal music education and a Masters in vocal music performance. For the past 6 years, I have been teaching private music lessons online and in person. I have experience teaching all ages: toddlers to retirees! My favorite part of teaching is seeing my students grow as musicians and as people, so I am intentional about making my lessons a safe space for creativity and exploration while also meeting our educational goals. Sharing your voice or your musical talent is a very personal and brave thing to do; that fact is not lost on me! I will do everything I can to make you comfortable and uplifted as we learn together. I am excited to meet you and go on this journey with you!

Hello all! My name is Yi, and I’m a singer/songwriter, stage performer, studio musician, and music Instructor. What makes me unique, is how my personal career took off while attending the Central Conservatory of Music in my hometown Beijing, where I was lucky enough to become discovered by a famous music producer. I had the privilege, and worked with top level professionals that the music industry has to offer! Because of that, I was lucky enough to experience the full scope of being a touring Headliner, where I gained much invaluable experience that comes with working at that highest of levels. From there, I went on to attend McNally Smith College of Music, located in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. where I received my Master’s degree in Music Performance - Vocals.

Throughout that time, I’ve been taught by industry leading professionals for 12+ years, and have been instructing for 7+ years. I’ve taught every style from pop, to rock, jazz, R’n B, and musical theater.  One constant thing that remains a great passion of mine, is in sharing all of my unique, well developed, knowledge and experience. Leanna O.

Voice, Piano, Ukulele, Kalimba/Mbira, Bucket Drumming, Kids Classroom - BILINGUAL SPANISH SPEAKER, Medium proficiency.

Hello, I'm Leanna! I have been a public school music teacher since 2018 where I loved to get my students moving and loving music as we created curiosity through different cultures, stories, technology and many different genres of music. It was this exact approach to education that got me the Teacher of the Year Award for Providence, RI! I have created my own General Music Curriculum K-5 with a focus on movement through music, taking the stress out of singing, teaching orchestra- the FUN way, and implementing different types of instruments, such as, ukulele, piano, mbira, bucket drums, and all different types of percussion. All of this is done with a hands-on approach to learning- if you can do it- you know it! With older students 6-12 I tend to focus on building literacy- so anyone can learn any instrument at any time. I will always say-“Once you have the fundamentals- you’re good to go!” We will incorporate all of your own individual compositions, create a focus culture, and make sure you have the ability to use online music technology- Anyone can be anything if they know how to use the tools at hand! I taught over 80 students and my private vocal students have gone on to audition and get into top music colleges around the world! I am currently traveling all around the USA in my new trailer and loving this vagabond lifestyle, so I can teach while on the road. Join me as we create curiosity through any and all of my music classes!

Voice, Piano, Percussions.Drums, Jazz, Songwriting & Music Productions - BILINGUAL PORTUGUESE SPEAKER, Fluent proficiency.

Hi, my name is Natália and I am a singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles. I have a BA in Music from FAAM, a Degree in Vocal Performance from Los Angeles College of Music, and MA in Jazz Performance from Cornel School of Contemporary Music, and many years of teaching, as well as performance, experience. In the last ten years, I have designed and taught vocal, piano, songwriting, music production and music theory classes, with students from many different cultural backgrounds. I have always been passionate about music, and I bring that energy into the lesson, encouraging my students to see each step of the process as a dynamic way to develop their ideas and to express their individual strengths. I have a lot of live performing experience, including singing in cruise ships around South America, and also singing in events in Brazil and United States.
